YOGA NIDRA TEACHER TRAINING

Join us for a Yoga Nidra Teacher Training course

Yoga Nidra is an evidence-based practice with proven benefits for people experiencing PTSD, depression, insomnia, chronic pain, anxiety, stress-related disorders and chemical dependency as well as for the establishment of joy, resilience and a sense of well-being in daily life.

Yoga Nidra literally means Yogic Sleep, and it is a state of conscious deep sleep, a dynamic sleep that takes place between the awakened state and the sleep state.

Yoga Nidra is qualitatively different from relaxation. It is a ‘sleep’ where all passions are spent; all the burdens are rendered to attain a more blissful state of mind, a relaxation much more intense than ordinary sleep. It is deemed to be a successful therapy for both recent and longstanding psychological disturbances of all kinds, especially high anxiety levels and neurotic behaviour patterns.

Research further shows that the brain experiences the same activity during a 30 minute Yoga Nidra practice as about 4 hours of sleep. If we regularly remove our stress by Yoga Nidra, we will not only sleep better, but also our sleep will be much more restorative. Through this form of relaxation we prepare our system to be in a state of perfect receptivity.

This Yoga Nidra Teacher Training course will explore the history and practice of this meditation, as well as delve into the science behind why and how it works.

Yoga Nidra teacher training is for anyone who wants to learn more about this ancient practice and further their therapeutic repertoire.
What you will learn:
