Zama Therapist training is a unique blend of healing modalities, training you to be:

  • a Reiki Practitioner (Levels 1 & 2) and Energy Healer,
  • a Sound Healer,
  • a Pranayama Therapy/Breathwork Practitioner, and
  • a Meditation Teacher.

There is also the option to add Yoga Teacher Training to this course, which includes an additional two contact days of training as well as online study.

Graduates will be able to obtain insurance and hold one-on-one healing sessions for clients, as well as hold ceremonial space for groups in sound healing, breathwork and meditation.

This course combines modern science with ancient esoteric and energetic healing techniques and will empower you to help your clients on their path to wellness.

This five day face-to-face training program is combined with extensive online modules and at home reading to enhance your learning.

This course covers:

  • Meditation & States of Consciousness for Healing from the Yogic system - how to access and use these states for yourself to support healing for yourself and others.
  • The Yogic energy system including prana, chakras, nadis, koshas, gunas, bandhas and marma points.
  • Sound Healing - you will learn how to use Tibetan singing bowls, bells and tingshas, crystal singing bowls, Shamanic rattles, drums and gongs and receive an introduction to using tuning forks. If you have any of these instruments please bring them to the face-to-face part of the course.
  • Breathwork & Pranayama Therapy for Healing from the Yogic system - learn the traditional breathing practices and their true intentions, as well as the Western physiological science of breath.
  • Reiki Energy Healing Levels 1 & 2 - learn hands on healing, distance healing, energy work, accessing your intuition, introduction to the Spirit realm, tools for healing including smudging, crystals and pendulums. Even if you are already attuned to Reiki, you will receive the attunement again as a healing, and expand on your existing skill set.
  • Integration of all of these tools into one-on-one and group sessions

Dates: Next intake starts now with most online modules available instantly. The face-to-face 5 day component of program will be held 8:00am - 2:00pm. Prior to the workshops, some online reading must be completed. Places are limited to ensure each student is attended to.


Required Reading: Prana and Pranayama by Swami Satyananda Saraswati, Reiki The Healing Touch by William Lee Rand, Sure Ways to Self-Realisation by Swami Satyananda Saraswati and book of your choice on the meaning of crystals (any book of this nature will suffice).

Recommended Reading: Swara Yoga by Swami Muktibodhanana, Mantra Yoga & Primal Sound by David Frawley, Vibrational Medicine by Richard Gerber, Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art by James Nestor.

Prerequisites: Please ensure you have experienced a Reiki healing, sound healing and have practiced some meditation prior to enrolling. If you would like to book in for a session for yourself with Nicole prior to the course, please book here.

When complete, graduates are able to join Reiki Australia and Meditation Australia. Members of Yoga Australia (and other associations) are also eligible for CPD points. Upon completion, you will be able to join Meditation Australia and Reiki Australia should you choose to.



  • Pen, notepad and pdf manual (supplied prior to course). You may bring an iPad from which to follow along with the manual if you don't want to print it however it will need to be saved locally to your device as no wi-fi will be available.
  • Water, lunch and snacks
  • A small altar to sit at the top of your mat (crystals, small singing bowls, rattles, pendulums, feathers etc)
  • Any small sound healing instruments you have, including rattles, small bowls, bells and tingshas, drums and tuning forks)
  • Yoga mat, blanket, socks, cushions for your comfort

Nicole began practising yoga in 2001 and as her practice deepened, the true experience of yoga helped Nicole with all aspects of life. This experience lead her to become a Yoga Therapist and holistic practitioner, so she could share the benefits of healing modalities that helped her with others.

Nicole has an interest in Sound Healing, having studied music throughout childhood and at a tertiary level, as well as studying mantra and sound in her yoga training.

Nicole owns Zama and has been delivering training programs since 2013. She is passionate about delivering training programs that maintain tradition and ancient methodology while simultaneously being applicable to the modern world.
