Terms & Conditions for all teacher training courses
Students are advised to read our policy and code of conduct prior to committing to payment for the course.
You are required to pay a non-refundable deposit of $250 plus the first monthly installment (for payment plans) or a full upfront payment for your enrolment. If you choose to pay upfront for a course, the nominated deposit amount is not refundable under any circumstance.

Acceptance of enrolment and course payments
Zama Yoga reserves the right to refuse your enrolment. Full course payment is required prior to graduation. If this balance is not paid on or before the due date we reserve the right to treat your enrolment as cancelled and no monies are refundable.
If you choose a payment plan option, payments are due on a monthly basis. Your enrolment may be cancelled should a payment be late and no monies are refundable.
Cancellation by the student
Should you choose to cancel your enrolment up to two weeks prior to the start date of a course, course fees less the non-refundable deposit ($250), a $10 payment reversal fee, and $150 charge per manual (digital or hard copy where applicable) will be refunded.
This excludes short courses of 60 hours or less. No refunds apply to short courses of 60 hours or less regardless of prior notice.

No refunds apply to cancellations after two weeks prior to the commencement date of a course and all payments owing are recoverable.
Should you choose to cancel your enrolment of an online course after 7 days of purchase, course fees will be refunded less the non-refundable deposit ($250), charge for course manuals ($150 per manual, if applicable) and any completed mentoring sessions.
This excludes courses of 60 hours or less. No refunds apply to short courses of 60 hours or less regardless of prior notice.
Access to all online content will be removed.

Cancellation by Zama Yoga
We reserve the right to cancel any course at any time.
We may cancel your enrolment for mental and physical health reasons, non-attendance, disruption of others in the course, continuing breaches of our Code of Conduct, or for any reason by which we reasonably deem you unfit to remain in the course.
We are not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred and a cancellation fee and course fees may be retained by us.
If you are unable to commence a course you have enrolled in and you wish to transfer from one course to another (of equal or greater value), please notify us by email at least two weeks prior to commencement. This may not be granted and a fee of $50 will apply, as well as any difference between the price of the courses. If the course you wish to transfer to is of lesser value no refund applies.
No transfers are granted after two weeks prior to commencement. Please refer to cancellation policies.
No refunds apply to any missed workshops under any circumstances regardless of notice given. Full payment is required for all missed workshops for all courses. Please consider this when enrolling. All dates are supplied prior to enrolment.
Private mentoring sessions are available for purchase. Mentoring sessions are not refundable under any circumstances. Mentoring sessions are scheduled in advance directly between you and your mentor (we will arrange this upon receipt of purchase). If you have to cancel or reschedule a mentoring session, you must contact your mentor at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled session. If you miss a mentoring session without 24 hours prior notice, you will forfeit your mentoring session. Further mentoring sessions will incur a fee.
All cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance by phone or email.
Course Completion & Practice Journal Requirements
All courses are to be completed within the timeframe specified for each course which begins from commencement of course workshops, or from date of enrolment for online courses.
The minimum completion time for courses are as follows:
There is no minimum time requirement for short courses of 40 hours or less unless specified.
60 hours up to 200 hour (includes 200-350 hour upgrade) courses have a minimum completion time requirement of 3 months but must maintain a record of their practice journal for 12 months as per Yoga Australia standards.
350 hour courses have a minimum time completion requirement of 6 months but must maintain a record of their practice journal for 12 months as per Yoga Australia standards.
The maximum completion time for courses are as follows:
Short courses of 40 hours or less must be completed within 6 months from date of first workshop or enrolment date for online.
60 hours up to 200 hours (including 200-350 hour upgrade) courses must be completed within 12 months from date of first included workshop or enrolment date for online.
350 hour courses must be completed within 18 months from date of first included workshop or enrolment date for online.
All assignments must be completed within the course duration time frame specified for the course. Zama Yoga may offer students extensions after this date at $150 for a 3 month extension only. Extensions are granted on a case by case basis upon application. Failure to comply with the 3 month extension date without valid reason may result in a failure of the course.
Recognised Prior Learning (RPL)
We will charge $100 per 100 hours for assessment RPL with a minimum of $100 for any assessment. If we cannot assist with RPL no charge will be made. Students seeking RPL must provide certificates and a list of topics covered with the number of hours per topic.
Course Registration & Prerequisites
Entry requirements for a course are specified under the prerequisites of each course (if applicable). It is the responsibility of the student to ensure they meet the mandatory entry requirements of a course. If you choose to enrol into a course and do not hold the required qualifications for entry, you do so knowing that you will not be qualified to teach and cannot register with recognised industry bodies, or obtain mandatory insurance cover.
Zama Yoga will not be held responsible for misconduct of a student who chooses to breach course registration and prerequisites. Zama Yoga reserves the right to cancel an enrolment if they do not meet the course entry requirements and no monies are refundable.
Can I suspend my course?
Students are not able to suspend their course at any stage. You can request to transfer or obtain an extension, depending on your circumstance. Please refer to transfers and extension request policies.
Students are responsible to maintain a record of their assignments and practice journals at all times. Requests to obtain a copy of submitted assignments may incur a fee. Fees will be determined on size of files, number of copies requested and reasonable administration costs.
Age & Health Requirements
We are not medical experts. It is your responsibility to ensure that you obtain proper and detailed medical advice at least two months prior to enrolment as to your suitability for it.
We have no liability to you for any cost, loss or damage which you suffer.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for any loss, injury or damage which you may suffer (directly or indirectly) in connection with or arising out of your participation in the course.
You release us and our officers, employees, agents and representatives from any liability and expressly waive any claims you may have against us arising out of or in connection with your participation.
Filming and Photography
When you enter a Zama Yoga campus, course, event, or program, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur.
By entering the premises, you consent to interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, web casts, promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by Zama Yoga. Images, photos and/or videos may be used to promote similar Zama Yoga events in the future, highlight the event and exhibit the capabilities of Zama Yoga. You release Zama Yoga, its officers and employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitising, or publication and use of interviews, photographs, computer images, video and/or or sound recordings.
By entering the event premises, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use, exhibition, streaming, webcasting, televising, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such use, exhibiting, broadcasting, webcasting, or other publication irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by Zama Yoga or the person or entity designated to do so by Zama Yoga.
You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver of liability, and release before entering the event.
Claims & Complaints
If you have a complaint about our course please inform your teacher at the time in order that they can attempt to rectify the matter. If satisfaction is not reached through these means then any further complaint should be put in writing to us within 7 days after the problem arises.
Educational Support and Assessment
Courses are multidimensional and may include workshops, class styles and online components. All courses are delivered in English.
There is an expectation of home practice, reading and online material to complete each course. You will be offered teaching support during face-to-face workshops where appropriate.
Online students can purchase mentoring sessions if required.
You must submit all assessments including practice journals (if applicable) assigned to you throughout the duration of the course to graduate.
For short courses, a certificate of attendance will be issued for the hours attended. Short courses generally have additional reading and assignments and if completed a certificate for contact and non contact hours will be issued.
All monies must be paid in full prior to graduation. All courses are to be completed within the time frame specified (please refer to course duration).
Zama Yoga course materials have been created for educational purposes only. It should not be interpreted as a recommendation for a specific treatment plan, product, or course of action. The use of any information provided by Zama Yoga is solely at your own risk.
Exercise is not without its risks and may result in injury. Zama Yoga recommends you and your clients consult a healthcare provider for appropriate exercise prescription and safety precautions. Any document provided by Zama Yoga is a general guide only, it is in no way intended as a substitute for medical advice, nor is it exhaustive or absolute. We are not medical experts. It is your responsibility to ensure that you obtain proper and detailed medical advice.
Exercise instruction should be carried out within your scope of practice at all times. If at any point a client begins to feel faint, dizzy, or have physical discomfort, they should stop immediately and consult a physician.
Developments in medical research may impact the information that appears in course material. No assurance can be given that the advice contained in such documents will always include the most recent findings or developments with respect to the particular material.

Code of Conduct
To guarantee each student the best experience possible Zama Yoga asks:
Please sign in to all workshops and classes.
Classes begin on time, so arrive before the start time of class. Entry into class is not guaranteed for students who arrive late.
Please plan to stay for the entire time of each workshop and class. Leaving the room should be strictly limited to urgent matters.
No pagers or mobile phones in the yoga room.
Feel free to speak to a teacher during class, but please no social conversations during class.
Treat others exactly the way you want to be treated. We will not tolerate students that are rude, insulting, or offensive to the staff and fellow students. We reserve the right to ask those behaving in this manner to leave the premises.
