The same training, in a room of your own
Zama Institute has trained teachers online since 2013. Our courses are self-paced, globally recognised and accredited, and most of our students complete them from wherever they happen to live. For many people that freedom is exactly what makes training possible at all.
There are some things, though, that a screen cannot give you. The quiet adjustment of a hand on your back as you find a pose. The questions that only surface when you are moving through the work together. The friendships that form when a group of people decide to become teachers in the same season of their lives. For students who want that experience, we partner with established studios who deliver our curriculum in person.
When you train through a partner studio, you receive the full Zama programme, including the meditation thread that runs through everything we teach, taught live by a local teacher and finished with the same accreditation you would earn online. You get the structure and recognition of Zama with the warmth and guidance of a studio you can walk into.
How in-person training works

Enrol with the studio directly
You book your place, ask your questions and arrange payment with the partner studio. They run the dates, the venue and the day-to-day teaching, so they are your first point of contact throughout.

Why some students choose to train in person
Learning to teach is more than learning the content. It is learning to read a room, to feel where someone is holding tension and to find the words that help them let it go. Those instincts grow most quickly when you are in the room yourself.
In a partner studio you practise on real bodies from the very first weekend. You receive feedback as you teach, not days later. You watch experienced teachers work and you borrow from them. And when the doubt creeps in, as it does for every trainee, you are surrounded by people walking the same path who remind you to keep going.
If that kind of hands-on, shoulder-to-shoulder learning is what you have been looking for, an in-person course may be the right home for your training.
