Winter Solstice & International Yoga Day
Mark the 21st June on your calendars, because that date is both the Winter Solstice and the first ever International Yoga Day! Here at Zama, we’re going to combine the two with a special meditation and restorative yin practice.
On International Yoga Day, all over the world, yogis will be joining in special meditations and Solstice practices to celebrate and share their love of yoga in unison.
We’re already feeling Winter with this chill in the air, and the Winter Solstice will signify the shortest day and longest night – the central point to Winter, when we embrace the darkness and look forward to the growing of the light. The restorative yin will channel the spirit of the solstice, and will be a beautiful way to celebrate this annual occurrence.
- Sunday 21st June 3:30pm restorative yoga class: 30 minutes meditation followed by 60 minutes of restorative yin (normal class prices apply)
- Sunday 21st June 2:30pm – 3:30pm meditation by donation, followed by 4:10pm – 5:10pm restorative yin (normal class prices apply for the yin class)
We can’t wait to see you then! 🙂
