Restorative yoga is a practice of asanas and pranayama that help the body enter a deep state of relaxation. Postures are generally supported by props so the body is able to completely surrender.
Restorative yoga has been proven to benefit a number of physical and mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, chronic back pain and stress-related illness.
Restorative yoga also helps manage weight loss, obesity and related illness such as diabetes by regulating the metabolism and hormonal systems of the body. To find out more, take a look at this Yoga Journal article.
This master class will also include Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra is Yogic Sleep where the body enters a state of relaxation similar to sleep but while awake. The brain activity experienced during 30 minutes of Yoga Nidra has been shown to mimic the same brain activity over 3 hours of sleep.
Join us on Saturday 5 April at 4:10pm for 90 minutes to find out why these practices are so beneficial! Book now!
