I’m sure you can guess what the magical one ingredient is – banana! But what’s brilliant about this recipe is how simply and effectively the banana is transformed into delicious, creamy ice cream – perfect for these hot summer days!
All you need is a couple of ripe bananas and a small food processor.
- Peel the nicely ripe bananas, and chop into fairly small pieces.
- Pop the pieces into a container and freeze for at least 3 hours.
- Combine the pieces in the food processor until very smoothly blended (the bananas may go through stages of looking crumbly, or mushy, or chunky – just keep blending!).
- Once the banana texture becomes creamy and soft, scrape it into a container and freeze until solid.
