Often stress manifests itself physically first in the shoulders and back, leading to stiffness and soreness. This stiffness lends itself to naturally slackening our core muscles in an effort to reduce the tightness in our bodies. Core yoga allows us to relax and release through our spines to regain our spinal flexibility while re-engaging our deep muscles to support our total being. Deeper core strength facilitates improved internal support, posture, reduction in back pain and increased total body strength and mobility.
We often hold emotional issues and stress in the core or belly region and by working deep into this area we can strengthen our emotions and resolve, resulting in an increased resilience to stress. Increasing heat by working in the abdominal area can assist with improving digestive issues and the spinal movements in Core Yoga assist with massaging internal organs and moving our skeletons to assist with toxin removal from the body. Removal of toxins from our body allows us to become less acidic and therefore flexibility can more easily and quickly improve.
